Facilities Maintenance Technician
The successful candidate for Facilities Maintenance Technician is a proven, independent self-starter and must possess the abilities to perform in a team environment.
Reports to: Maintenance Manager
Location: Madison
Hours: 8:00am 4:30pm, Monday - Friday
Job Description:
Responsible for a variety of maintenance and repairs on the building and its equipment. Under the advisement of maintenance engineers, they will perform inspections and make minor repairs of electrical, HVAC, and plumbing systems, as well minor construction, fabrication, and painting work.
Perform general maintenance on building and assigned fixtures, mechanical equipment, and machines to include air handlers and related HVAC equipment including chilled water systems, pumps, motors, piping, valves, and building lighting
Inspect forklifts and maintain forklift batteries
Perform inspections and preventative maintenance on boilers, aircompressors, dock doors, roofing, exhaust fans, and air turnover units
General building repairs including restroom maintenance
Perform weekly, monthly and quarterly fire system inspection and tests
Complete all assigned work orders and inspections in a timely and accurate manner, logging activity in work order management software and completing an end-of-shift report.
Other duties as assigned.
Associates degree, diploma or technical certificates in related field is preferred, or 2 4 years of experience in facilities maintenance, industrial setting preferred.
Ability to work with minimal supervision
Computer literate Experience in Microsoft Office products: Excel and Word a must.
Flexible schedule to provide coverage for all shifts as necessary.
Job Essentials:
This position requires work inside and outside in all types of weather with fluctuations in temperature and conditions.
Must be able to frequently traverse building including moving between multiple floors.
Position often requires reaching, bending, lifting, carrying, squatting, kneeling, and stooping.
Must be able to able to ascend/descend ladders as needed.
This position will require the ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally; must be capable of lifting/pulling/pushing up to 100 pounds with assistance if needed.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
