Electrical Supervisor Madison, GA
Georgia-Pacific is seeking an Electrical Supervisor in our Madison, GA plywood mill.
A Day In The Life Typically Includes:
Ensure the facility's electrical systems are operating reliably, efficiently, and in compliance with all electrical safety regulations
Manage and deploy hourly electrical work crew to safely perform work duties
Lead development of hourly electrical work crew in craft skills as necessary
Monitor quality of electrical work through procedures, training and discipline to reduce re-work issues
Promote safety through proactive involvement in safety training, adherence to the mill's safety program and implementation of Electrical Safe Work Practices
Work closely and coordinate with Production, Environmental, and other Maintenance personnel to ensure manpower is utilized and necessary tasks for equipment productivity and reliability are accomplish through the maintenance work process
Identify and implement electrical improvements that result in year-over-year improvements in safety, production, maintenance and costs.
Promote electronic documentation of records and troubleshooting techniques by the hourly electrical crew to facilitate knowledge share among the crew
What You Will Need:
Basic
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED
Technical degree and a minimum of three (3) years of supervisory and/or electrical experience in an industrial electrical maintenance setting
Experience with 3-phase motor controls, 480V AC systems, and low voltage DC systems
Experience maintaining and troubleshooting plant electrical distribution systems
Experience with a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
Previous knowledge and working experience with MS Word and Excel, and other PC-based production applications
Experience in PLC systems and Variable Frequency Drives (i.e. VFD's)
Must be able and willing to work in a manufacturing plant environment, including extended periods of time in noisy, non-air conditioned or unheated areas
Must be able and willing to work safely, and promote safe work practices
