WDairy LLC WDairy LLC Madison, GA Madison, GA Full-time Full-time $15 - $20 an hour $15 - $20 an hour Calf Manager Manager is responsible for all calves from birth to 6 months at WDairy LLC.
Priorities are colostrum management, cleanliness and growth of calves.
We have a protocol book for calf management to use as a reference.
Bilingual - English and Spanish is a plus but not necessary.
Birth:
Make sure calf pen protocols are followed Check cleanliness of pens and anything that might touch calf Keep supply of number necklaces for newborn calves at calving pens Check cleanliness of calf transport Check numbers of cow calving with number on calf necklace and write number of dam on concrete wall behind calf pen Check dam number with number on calving chart in herdsman office Colostrum:
Test collected colostrum for good antibody levels - above 22 Use refractometer for this.
Keep refractometer clean and in good working order Package good colostrum in DairyTech bags and pasteurize Keep a tally of number of full bags are available at all times Keep colostrum replacer available for bulls Check temperature on freezers weekly Calf Barn:
Learn the workings of feeders to be able to diagnose and fix minor problems Make sure all feeders are clean and in good working order Tag, dehorn and vaccinate calves in a timely manner Monitor grain consumption on groups and individuals Monitor condition of calf pens:
straw amount, wetness, etc Make sure supplies are kept on hand:
milk replacer, grain, straw, cleaning agents, tags and all tagging supplies, vaccines, bottles and nipples Move calves to freestall unit when ready Keep all data in computer program at calf barn and in herdsman's office up to date Freestall Unit:
Keep clean - floors, stalls, feeding area Re-bed stalls when needed Monitor feed consumption on groups and individuals who don't use headlocks Vaccinate groups in a timely manner Tape groups to monitor weight gain Observe calves for illness and treat Keep all data in herdsman's office up to date Move calves around in pens to keep all pens full Work with vet:
Run colostrum samples weekly for bacteria levels Run milk samples for bacteria levels when needed Run antibody levels weekly on all calves before 7 days of age Keep schedule for calf feeders.
Communicate and work with calf feeders in a friendly and considerate manner.
Address any personnel matters involving the calf feeders.
Fill in any time we are short on feeders.
Any extra jobs to successfully run the dairy.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
